The Sefer Gimel text book is aimed at the 'intermediate' level
student. Students at this level can master a simple conversation
but their speech is not yet fluent and grammar needs to be given
more structure. A basic requirement for this group of students is a
great deal of exposure to subjects and areas of interest, about
which they are able to speak. Sefer Gimel was written with this
aim, listing amongst its sections: media, education, nutrition,
health, and news. The structure of Sefer Gimel facilitates the
introduction to these issues and various learning assignments are
given so that students can readily apply everything that they have
previously learnt transforming it from passive knowledge in to real
application and conversation. During this course students are
actively encouraged to begin to express their own opinion on the
various issues and controversies that arise from the texts.
